She's actually pretty funny in it.

I was quite shocked the other day when I picked up the latest issue of SciFi magazine (yes, an actual print magazine) and read a short interview with Sackhoff describing her recent bout of thyroid cancer (!!) and her subsequent full recovery (thank the Lords of Kobol). All this happened apparently during the filming of the series' finale, so she said with all that going on, she 'wasn't really there' in a sense (during filming of the last episode). I think I speak for all here when I say we BSG fans wish her all the best (in health and career) for the future. Every time I've seen KS at conventions (about 4 or 5 times now) she wins fans' hearts with her sunny, exuberant disposition and wicked sense of humor. And as a cancer survivor myself (many yahrens ago), it is most difficult to put on a happy face when you're going through all that. All the best, Katee. We BSG geeks love ya!!!

way! I'll flip if anything happens to her!!!

I hope that was just a nasty rumor. I hope that she is permanently cured and no more
chances of contracting cancer. Boy oh boy, nothing like bad news to give the old heart
a run for its money.

No, it was in print from a respectable magazine (SciFi; the official magazine of the US' SciFi channel) and I've confirmed it on the internet. But as far as I (and apparently she) know(s), she made a full recovery and she has a clean bill of health. Your girl is in the clear, Captain T!
